A Race for the Finish
It’s a race to the finish,
but when will the fury end?
The winners are really losers,
since they’ve lost friends.
The contest has a rule book,
and the rules easily bend.
First place is important now,
no matter who you offend.
The pace is past the pack,
a position to defend.
I wonder if only winning is the
message we want to send.
The cost of a complete victory
can be too much to spend.
