The Renegade Paperclip
The Renegade Paperclip

The Renegade Paperclip
The renegade paperclip looked
like any metal-type clip with a
dull silver shine, like a used dime.
But it could never be found when
It was needed, and yesterday
I found it hiding under my desk,
on the floor, near the door.
It was really bent out of shape
at its mischief, until it found a
cute orange-colored plastic-coated
paperclip with thicker steel.
The renegade never leaves the
desk drawer, and prefers
the privacy of the closed
compartment. I may never have
to buy another box of
paperclips again.
