Smiles and Tears

Bill Kelso is one the guys who goes by the book in everything he does. He finished pre law at BSU, and attended Yale University. He had a private practice, but then has since become a government lawyer for the last 15 years. He lives in Winchester, Va.  Much of his work is classified, but he enjoys the single life after a brief marriage after law school. Bill has no kids. He wrote this poem when he was going through his divorce.

Smiles and Tears

You have given me a billion smiles,
enough to last a million miles, but
now you loves can’t make me laugh,
and I wonder how long we can last.

I have cried a billion tears, in
what seems like a million years,and
even though you still have my name,
I know things will never be the same.
