Game Change
Game Change
I like the times we spend together, and
I hope the experience never ends.
The smiles we share will last forever,
As long as we remain just friends.
I can see a different look in your eyes,
And your point of view isn’t the same.
I don’t want you to think of me as
A pawn in some strange lover’s game.
But now I get the idea you have changed,
And feelings for me are getting serious.
This is a difficult arena for me,
And I know things can get dangerous.
I feel like I’m living in the red zone,
And it’s first and ten, goal to go.
My defensive strategies are easy to spot,
And experience is on your side, I know.
So the question is, where do we go from here?
I suppose the answer is really up to me.
Do I want to want to succeed in surrender,
Or be myself and struggle to be free?
